Book Title: Guidelines for Local and State Governments to Promote Entrepreneurship

Various programs for entrepreneurship development and the expansion of the local and national economies have included entrepreneurship promotion for at least the past 20 years. These strategies have recently been published, largely in the form of academic essays, using the wisdom of successful businesspeople. Paying serious attention to the issue greatly increases the likelihood of entrepreneurship success. Unfortunately, the contrary of this topic is also true, i.e., neglecting or giving little thought to entrepreneurship development will have negative effects on its development.

In this context, a translation of the Kaufman Foundation publication ” Guidelines for Local and State Governments to Promote Entrepreneurship” was made. In this book, growth centers and the establishment of public participation investment funds are two popular methods for encouraging entrepreneurship. These tactics frequently disregard a fundamental idea: networking with and learning from entrepreneurs. The options that can be organized based on the idea of continuity for public partnership investment funds and growth centers have then been detailed. Additionally, it has been highlighted in this book how urban management can support entrepreneurship and observe its actual effects, effects that transform the urban economy and offer citizens new opportunities.

The research team at Mammute Accelerator Urban Innovation Studio released this book in Persian in 2020 and made a free digital version of it available to the general public under the scientific guidance of Sina Ataee, a senior researcher in the field of urban innovation.
